Introduction to the Microbiology Section in the Pathology Laboratory

Microbiology focuses on identifying potential pathogenic microbes in humans, including bacteria, parasites and fungi. Our Clinical Microbiology Laboratory offers a broad range of services, from sexual health screening and detection of enteric pathogens to identifying multi-resistant organisms. Additionally, we serve as the national reference center for Mycology, Anaerobes and molecular typing of Mycobacteria.
